The trend was popularized around June 2022 when people started to recreate real-life graphic content videos from the platform LiveLeak.įor instance, on August 12th, 2022, TikToker recreated the video of a man being shot and killed after killing a cartel member. The video garnered over 11,000 views and 209 likes in two years. The post (shown below) features two people inside a car, abruptly cutting the video when a driver in the opposite direction is about to hit the car. ![]() On January 23rd, 2021, YouTuber xgod9808 posted a video of a fake accident paired with LiveLeak's": memes/sites/liveleak logo. The video, titled "Roblox Car Crash Compilation," garnered over 68,000 views and 1,000 likes in four years. Although it's unclear how the trend originated, one of the earliest posts featuring Roblox gameplay recreating fake car crash incidents was posted by YouTuber LegocrazeZ on April 6th, 2019. ![]()
